Through grassroots efforts, the Texas Campaign for Mothers has built a statewide network of members, including parents, healthcare professionals, strategic partners, and business and community leaders — all of whom are concerned about the serious risks to pregnant women, women's healthcare, and the medical profession in our state.

We successfully advocated for the Life of the Mother Act during Texas' 2025 legislative session. While it is our hope and prayer that the Life of the Mother Act will prevent further denial or delay of care for women with pregnancy complications, we know that to achieve that result, it is critical that physicians are educated about the Life of the Mother Act protections.

It is also critical that pregnant women and their loved ones are aware of the Life of the Mother Act so that they can advocate for necessary care without delay. Asking for a Mom aims to build that awareness.
